South Pasadena Death Investigation

     South Pasadena (Calif.) - On Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at approximately 8:45 p.m., officers from the South Pasadena Police Department responded to a residence in the 800 block of Brent Avenue regarding an unresponsive adult female who was found bleeding.

     Police and Fire Department personnel arrived on the scene within minutes. Paramedics pronounced the victim, a female in her seventies, deceased due to apparent stab wounds to her upper torso. There appear to be no signs of forced entry into the residence.

     “The investigation is ongoing and dynamic. Detectives from South Pasadena and the Sheriff’s Department have been working tirelessly to uncover what happened. My deepest sympathy and sincere condolences go out to the family and friends of the victim,” said South Pasadena Police Chief Brian Solinsky.

     The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department has taken the lead in this investigation. The victim’s identity will not be released until the next of kin has been notified.
