Trespasser Arrested

On Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at approximately 9:48 p.m., the South Pasadena Police Department responded to a report of trespassing at a vacant residence located in the 700 block of Prospect Avenue.

Upon arrival, officers met with the property owners, who confirmed that no individuals had permission to be inside the residence. During a search of the property, officers located the suspect, identified as 46-year-old Cipriano Barajas Jr. of Montebello. The suspect had secured several windows with nails, barricaded the front door, and blocked another entrance with a refrigerator.

Mr. Barajas was taken into custody without incident and subsequently booked at the South Pasadena Police Department on charges of trespassing, squatting, and vandalism. He was released a short time later with a citation to appear in court at a later time.
