SPPL Recruits Volunteers for Teen Advisory Board (TAB)

The South Pasadena Public Library is recruiting for the Fall 2024 Teen Advisory Board (TAB). TAB is a small group of teens, grades 8-12, dedicated to helping in and improving the library. TAB members will be required to attend regular meetings throughout the semester, as well as volunteer at least one afternoon a month at the library. TAB members help by assisting with craft activity preparation for Storytimes, helping staff at library events, re-stocking the Little Free Library, and writing book reviews. The Fall 2024 TAB meetings dates will be held on Wednesdays September 18th,

October 23rd, and November 20th from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. TAB members will earn community service hours for each meeting they attend and for time spent assisting with programs and/or helping the library. Teens must complete a Library Teen Volunteer web form to apply. All volunteers, both new and returning, must complete a City Volunteer Application, which must be signed by a parent or guardian. The City Volunteer Application may be dropped off or emailed to TAB Librarian, Bre Taylor. The Fall Teen Advisory Board will consist of 20 members and positions are filled on a first come basis. The library is open Monday, Friday, Saturday 10:00 a.m.– 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 10:00 a.m.– 8:00 p.m. and Sunday 1:00 p.m.–5:00 p.m.
