Community Development

Community Development

The Community Development Department is committed to the three “C”s of customer service: collaboration, courtesy, and cooperation. The department is comprised of five divisions: Planning, Building and Safety, Community Improvement, Housing, and Film and Art. The Community Development Department provides staff services to the Planning Commission, Cultural Heritage Commission, Public Art Commission, and the Design Review Board. We are a quality-of-life department, managing planning activities and development review for the built environment in South Pasadena.
