AROUND THE WORLD IN SOUTH PASADENA

The City of South Pasadena Community Services Department is thrilled to announce Around the World in South Pasadena, a vibrant multicultural festival celebrating the diversity of our community. Join us on Saturday, September 28, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Library Park, located at 1115 El Centro Street, South Pasadena.

This year’s event promises a day filled with exciting performances, delicious food, and enriching cultural experiences.

Performance Schedule:
Enjoy a variety of performances throughout the day, including:

  • Welcome by Community Services Director Sheila Pautsch (11:00 a.m. to 11:05 a.m.)
  • Tai Ji Men Qigong Academy Performance (11:05 a.m. to 11:25 a.m.)
  • Welcome by Mayor Evelyn G. Zneimer (11:30 a.m. to 11:40 a.m.)
  • Bayanihan Filipino Folk Dance Company (11:45 a.m. to 12:05 p.m.)
  • BollyPop LA (12:15 p.m. to 12:35 p.m.)
  • African Soul International (12:45 p.m. to 1:05 p.m.)
  • The Dancing Fire Entertainment (1:15 p.m. to 1:35 p.m.)
  • Folklor La Morenita (1:45 p.m. to 2:05 p.m.)
  • Mahana Dance Company (2:15 p.m. to 2:45 p.m.)

Street Closures and Parking Information:

To ensure the safety and enjoyment of all attendees, the following street closures will be in effect:

  • Oxley Street between Fairview Avenue and Diamond Avenue;
  • Diamond Avenue between El Centro Street and Oxley Street;
  • El Centro Street between Diamond Avenue and Fairview Avenue; and
  • Fairview Avenue between El Centro Street and Oxley Street.

The road closure is expected from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Motorists should expect delays and follow posted signs for traffic guidance. Street parking is available in addition to the parking lot located at 1020 El Centro Street. We encourage attendees to consider public transportation or carpooling to reduce congestion.

HALLOWEEN SPOOKTACULAR

The South Pasadena Community Services Department will host their annual Halloween Spooktacular on Friday, October 25, 2024 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Orange Grove Park, located at 815 Mission St., South Pasadena.

This free event offers fun for the entire family with inflatable games, prizes, food tucks, live music, and more. Don't miss the costume contest at 6:30 p.m. Categories include: scariest costume, cutest costume, funniest costume, and most creative costume.
